Chess club is a fun and engaging club for all students to participate in the sport of chess! No skill level is required! Come one…come all!!! Join Mr. Pellerin and Mr. Smith for an exciting adventure and introduction into the world of chess!
If you are interested in having your child apply to join the club, please complete this form and return it to school. If your child is accepted, you will be notified before the start date.
Chess club will be meeting on first and third Tuesdays (5th grade) and Thursdays (4th grade) of each month.
LEGO is an after-school program where students can explore and enjoy a variety of tech activities. Members can build and program LEGO robots, design unique LEGO creations, or play with and code Sphero and Edison robots. The club provides a flexible, hands-on environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and computational thinking. It is open to 5th-grade students and is limited to 20 participants. Lego Club will meet the first and third Wednesday of each month.

The Civil Rights Team is a group of students committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment for everyone. We focus on understanding and addressing issues related to race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disabilities, and more. Are you looking to learn more about yourself, gain real world skills, plan events, and help to provide student leadership to our school? If yes, then joining the Student Council is for you! A late bus will be provided. Students who sign up must maintain attendance during the year on a regular basis, be responsible for participating in our meetings and activities and remain a positive role model for all. Together we will care for our Hall School Garden, use indoor grow labs to grow and harvest (and eat!!) what we've grown. Please contact Lori Shieve with any questions!

The Sunshine Journalist Club will put together an online all-school newspaper, to be shared with students in school. Students will investigate and write about school happenings and anything school related of interst to them.

Do you love to dance? Tap dancing is a style of dance where dancers create rhythmic sounds by striking the floor with metal plates on their shoes. Participants should come ready to learn and have fun! We will work together to learn steps and create routines. Everyone is welcome!

The ASHS Sports Club provides students with an opportunity to learn about and try new sports activities. Every couple of weeks, students were introduced to a different sport including:
Flag Football, Basketball, Hiking (Cool St trail), Olympics, Poisonball/Dodgeball, Soccer, Floor Hockey, Relay races, Obstacle Course, Baseball/Wiffleball, Lawn Games (Ladder Golf, Cornhole, Bucket Toss), and an Agility Course.
Sports Club will meet weekly on Tuesdays (4th) and Thursdays (5th) starting January 2026.
